About Us
Why Blodyn Yr Haul?
When we're caring for others it can feel impossible to care for ourselves.
Blodyn Yr Haul Counselling and Therapeutic Support CIC is a not for profit, specialist service that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of young people, their families, their support network, including carers, educators, and members of their extended family.
If you care for, or work with, complex or vulnerable young people, or you are a young person who has additional support needs, we are here for you.
What do we mean by 'complex' and 'vulnerable'?
We mean young people who face challenges.
Maybe they experience health challenges?
Maybe they experience challenges at school?
Maybe they experience challenges at home?
Maybe they are neurodivergent?
Maybe as a parent, carer, teacher or other member of a young person's network you feel powerless, and exhausted?

Our Story
Blodyn Yr Haul is Welsh for Sunflowers.
What's so special about Sunflowers? Sunflowers gain energy from the sun's rays. When the sun is out, they turn themselves to face the sun. When the sun is not available, they turn towards each other for energy.

At Blodyn Yr Haul, we understand that when we are caring for complex or vulnerable young people, we too become vulnerable.
It is common for those of us with care responsibilities to feel isolated, to feel emotionally and physically exhausted, to burn out.

It's a bit of a cliché but, we have to care for ourselves if we're going to be able to care for others.
At Blodyn Yr Haul we offer specialist counselling, psychotherapeutic support, and training.

All Counsellors are qualified to Masters Degree Level in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Our Student Counsellors are working towards Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Therapists and student therapists undertake specialist training and are hand picked to join the Blodyn Yr Haul Team.

Every team member has BACP membership, insurance, personal commitment to lifelong learning, and their own lived experience.
